Table inquiries

Reservation requests captured, not dropped

The agent records party size, time and contact as a ticket for your host — or transfers when someone can take it live.

The celebration inquiry that calls at 22:30

Large-group and event requests become recorded leads with details, waiting in the morning instead of lost in voicemail.

The story

Dinner service kept moving while the phone was still answered.

A neighbourhood restaurant's phone peaked when the team had the least capacity to answer it. Callers wanted opening hours, terrace rules, allergen information and a table for a group. Routine questions interrupted service; reservation messages lacked a surname or callback number.

The restaurant approved the facts the agent may state and marked allergen uncertainty for human review. SayTrue answers practical questions, records table and event inquiries with the required details, and sends complex food-safety questions to staff without turning a request into a confirmed booking.

The service team receives a usable request rather than another vague voicemail: date, group size, contact and the guest's exact question stay together. Managers keep the reservation book and allergen decisions, while the agent handles only the published information they chose to approve.

How the restaurant sets it up

  1. Approve the practical menu factsHours, location, terrace, dietary options and only confirmed allergen statements enter the knowledge base.
  2. Shape the table inquiryParty size, requested time, name and contact become required ticket fields, not a reservation promise.
  3. Protect food-safety questionsAnything outside the approved allergen entries moves to a human instead of being inferred.
  4. Test during serviceCall with a routine question, a group request and an unsupported allergen question.

The menu entry answers only what the restaurant has explicitly approved.

What buyers in this trade ask us

Can it book tables directly?

It captures the request — party, time, contact — and hands it to your host as a ticket or live transfer; it doesn't write into reservation systems. If you use a booking platform, the agent can state your booking link; the honest division is: it informs and captures, your system books.

Allergen answers scare me — what if it's wrong?

It can only say what your approved entries say; where no entry exists, it refuses and offers a human. The source log shows which entry produced any answer — the accountability is exactly what improvised phone answers never had.

We change the menu weekly — is that sustainable?

Menu facts are ordinary entries your staff edit in minutes, and time-limited items can expire automatically. One edit updates phone, chat and social at once — faster than retraining a Saturday student.

Does it speak our guests' languages?

Croatian first, other languages configured per restaurant with a fallback chain. The tourist-season language mix is a configuration decision, not a staffing problem.
